A lifestyle blog for the modern professional

A lifestyle blog for the modern professional

I’m Lisa (or Dr. W!)

I am a proud millennial, professor, and small business owner.  I am a lifelong resident of Connecticut.  I currently live in Little Poland, New Britain, Connecticut with my husband Peter and our puppy Leo.

Before all of that, I was a little girl who dreamed of changing the world and making it a better place. I had no idea how to even accomplish that, I just knew I loved to read and write.  College was my turning point because while I still had that goal and still had no clue how to achieve it, I began to figure out the resources to make that goal a reality.

It was a slow process filled with many mistakes (and I mean many mistakes) and almost no wins.  I learned a lot during this time and it shaped me into the woman I am today.  Even with all of the mistakes I have made I never lost sight of making the world a better place.

So here I am three degrees later, a full time college professor with the goal of making the world a better place.  I truly believe that I get the opportunity to do this ever day with the students I teach and mentoring them into who they aspire to be.  But I always feel like I can do more…..

Belle’s Notebook was born because I wanted to write a book.  A guided journal that took my years of knowledge to create a resource so that you can develop your own goals.  It has evolved so much more than that.

This is a space to provide resources to grow personally and professionally.

This blog is for the dreamers.  The ones that never stop in pursuit of their goal.  It is for the college students focused on who they want to become.  It is for the busy professional who is taking every opportunity to advance their career.

This is for you.

In this blog you will find tips, information, and resources for life in the modern world.  I share my knowledge and my journey.  I also bring in experts in other fields to share their best advice.

Let’s change the world 🙂
